State Police Calls: Megan’s Law Violation Under Investigation in Brookville Area

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area State Police responded to the following calls:

Megan’s Law Violation in Pine Creek Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating a Megan’s Law violation in which a known individual is alleged to have failed to report a change of address within the time frame required by law in December 2019.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the individual involved has not been released.

Criminal Mischief in Rose Township

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 1:45 p.m. on February 17, a white tractor-trailer attempted to negotiate a turn off of State Route 36 onto Stanton Road and the truck became stuck in a yard belonging to a 58-year-old Brookville and a 53-year-old Brookville woman.

Police say the driver briefly had the left rear tires of his truck stuck on the edge of the yard, creating ruts.

The investigation is ongoing.

Drug Possession in Young Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 5:31 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, a known 26-year-old Reynoldsville man operating a 1998 Mercury on Harmony Road in Young Township was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

According to police, it was discovered the man also had multiple active warrants out of Clearfield County.

Charges are pending.

Drug Possession in Gaskill Township

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, 24-year-old Brennen Robertson, of Salix, Pa., was operating a 2003 Mercury on Mill Road and Wineberg Lane in Gaskill Township around 7:42 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, when he was stopped for a summary traffic violation.

Police say further investigation then revealed Robertson was in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Charges are pending through District Court 54-3-01.

DUI in Snyder Township

Around 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, DuBois-based State Police stopped 37-year-old Brandy Conner, of Leeper, for equipment violations on her 2003 Ford Mustang on Route 28 near Weisner Drive in Snyder Township.

Police say Conner exhibited several signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. She allegedly refused a Drug Recognition Experts (DRE) evaluation and a blood draw.

Charges are pending.

Harassment in Washington Township

DuBois-based State Police were dispatched to a domestic incident at a residence on State Route 219 in Washington Township around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26.

According to police, upon further investigation, 36-year-old Jacqueline Leonard and 28-year-old Derek Preston, both of Falls Creek, were separated and cited for harassment.

Charges are pending through District Court 54-3-02.
