State Police Calls: Stray Bullet Lands Near Two People in Punxsy

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police investigated the following calls.

Bullet Lands Near People

Police said a single gunshot came from a wooded area along Greenhouse Road in Punxsutawney and landed near two people on July 29.

The victims are listed as a 55-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman.

Harassment in North Point

Police said the suspect – a known, but unidentified 37-year-old man – engaged in a verbal interaction with the victim – a known 51-year-old man.

The incident occurred outside of the victim’s home on Angel Way in North Point.

Garbage Dumped at Pike Road Home

Police said an unknown person threw a full bag of garbage onto a 58-year-old man’s Pike Road property in Punxsutawney.

The incident occurred on July 16.

Battery stolen from Bell Township man

Police said sometime on July 2 or July 3, unknown person(s) stole a battery from a property near the intersection of Juneau Road and Altman Avenue Extension in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

The victim is listed as a 71-year-old man.
