State Police Calls: Terroristic Threats, Drug Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following calls:

Terroristic Threats in Union Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a location on Lexie Drive in Union Township, Jefferson County, around 5:14 p.m. on September 6 for a report of terroristic threats.

Police say a known individual went to the residence and told a known 33-year-old male victim from Corsica to leave the property while holding a handgun in her hand.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the accused was not released.

Drug Possession in Winslow Township

DuBois-based State Police say around 11:51 p.m. on August 20, a traffic stop was conducted on a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on the 3900 block of U.S. 322 in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, for a traffic violation.

According to police, during the stop, an odor of burnt marijuana was noticed coming from the vehicle, and the driver was then asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests.

Police say the driver, identified as a 21-year-old Reynoldsville man, showed signs of impairment, and charges are pending lab test results.

The name of the driver was not released.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in Gaskill Township

Around 11:28 a.m. on September 1, Punxsutawney-based State Police were dispatched for a welfare check at a location on Milliron Road in Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.

Police say during the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found, and a known 30-year-old Punxsutawney man was willingly transferred to Penn Highlands DuBois for a mental health evaluation.

According to police, charges for possession of drug paraphernalia are pending through District Court 54-3-01.

The name of the man was not released.

Drug Possession in Gaskill Township

Around 11:38 p.m. on September 5, Punxsutawney-Based State Police initiated a traffic stop on a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup on State Route 36 near Mill Road in Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.

Police say upon contact with the driver, a known 56-year-old Hyde man, suspected marijuana was observed in plain view, and the driver was also found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe.

According to police, field sobriety tests were then conducted, and the driver was found to exhibit signs of impairment.

DUI and drug charges are pending.

The name of the driver was not released.
