State Police Calls: Troopers Detail Arrests Made During Recent Traffic Stops

JEFFERSON, Pa. (EYT) – Local state police responded to the following incidents:

Arrest in Young Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police conducted a traffic stop near Harmony Road and Anchor Inn Road in Young Township, Jefferson County, at 10:47 p.m. on Friday, September 15.

Police say the driver of a 2014 Ford Explorer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

The suspect is a 35-year-old man from Hamilton.

Charges are pending toxicology results.

DUI in Eldred Townshp

According to a September 19 release, PSP Marienville initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 Honda Accord at 12:51 a.m. on August 9, near State Route 36 and Lumberjack Lane in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the traffic stop resulted in a DUI arrest.

The arrestee is listed as a 21-year-old Sigel woman.

This investigation is ongoing.
