JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following incidents, according to a report published on November 17:
Troopers Investigating Harassment Incident Reported by Inmate
Troopers were dispatched to an incident of harassment at the Jefferson County Jail on Service Center Road in Pine Creek Township around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 16.
Police say an inmate reported harassment, but no further specifics were released.
The victim is a 26-year-old Sigel man.
This investigation is ongoing.
DUI in Rose Township
PSP Punxsutawney conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma on Interstate 80 west in Rose Township, Jefferson County, for a summary violation around 2:06 a.m. on Thursday, November 16.
Police say the operator displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The arrestee is a 32-year-old man from Spring Valley, NY.
