State Police Calls: Two Arrested on DUI Charges

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Newburg Borough

According to police, a traffic stop was conducted on a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado for a summary traffic violation around 12:06 a.m. on December 12. The stop took place along Cecil Hurd Highway/Rainey Lane in Newburg Borough, Clearfield County.

Police say during the traffic stop, a known 49-year-old Culpeper, Virginia man was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Charges are pending.

DUI in Winslow Township

According to police, around 5:27 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, a 2000 Chevrolet S-10, operated by 51-year-old Steven Williams, of Brookville, was stopped for a summary traffic violation on Pegnetter Drive/U.S. 322 in Winslow Township.

Police say during the traffic stop, Williams was found to be driving under the influence.

Charges of DUI and related summary traffic offenses are pending through District Court 54-3-02.
