State Police Calls: Windshield Damaged by BB Gun, Theft, Harassment, Drug Possession

Area state police responded to the following calls:

Windshield Damaged by BB Gun

Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between June 19 and June 22 in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County.

According to DuBois-based State Police, a known 67-year-old male victim of Falls Creek reported damage to the windshield of his vehicle.

The damage appears to have originated from a BB gun, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Firearm, Drug Possession in Lawrence Township

Clearfield-based State Police conducted a traffic stop for summary violations on a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse on Wednesday, June 15, around 12:24 a.m., along Clearfield Shawville Highway, near Supercenter Driver, in Lawrence Township, Clearfield county.

Upon further investigation, 41-year-old Cory Himes, of Reynoldsville, was found to be in possession of a handgun with an obliterated serial number.

He was also in possession of numerous items of drug related paraphernalia, police said.

Theft of Purse

PSP DuBois is investigating a theft in Polk Township, Jefferson County, that occurred on Friday, June 24, around 3:00 p.m.

Police say the crime occurred as a purse was removed from a location along Richardsville Road.

The victim is listed as an 85-year-old woman of Carlock, IL.

The following items were reported as stolen:

– Android Tracfone, Value $80.00
– Social Security Card
– Pale Pink Purse, Value $20.00
– $300.00 in cash (miscellaneous denominations)
– Seven credit cards

Brockway Man Arrested on Burglary, Drug Charges

Police have arrested a 26-year-old Brockway man on charges of burglary and drug possession on Saturday, June 25.

According to DuBois-based State Police, troopers responded to a possible burglary along Route 28, in Snyder Township, Jefferson County, around 3:17 p.m.

Once on scene, the suspect was taken into custody and drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view, police said.

The suspect’s name was not released.

The victim is listed as a 65-year-old Brockway woman.

Reynoldsville Man Cited for Harassment

PSP DuBois on Monday, June 27, around 1:00 a.m., responded to a residence on Willow Street, in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County, for a reported domestic situation.

Upon investigation, it was determined that 57-year-old Larry Applegarth, of Reynoldsville, pushed a known female victim.

Applegarth was cited for harassment.

Assault in Canoe Township

Police are investigating an incident of assault near Central Street, in Canoe Township, Indiana County, on June 24, around 5:45 p.m.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a known 45-year-old Rossiter man got into a verbal altercation with a known 21-year-old Rossiter man that turned physical.

The investigation continues.
