MCCALMONT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police Investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred earlier this month on Knox Dale Road in McCalmont Township.
State Police in Punxsutawney released the following incident report on November 15, 2023:
The hit-and-run accident happened on November 3, around 8:20 a.m. on Knox Dale Road, north of Anita Oliveburg Road, in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County.
Police say an unidentified vehicle was negotiating a left-hand curve and left the east berm. It traveled between two campers and became stuck on landscaping, backed out, and turned around. It then went back between the two campers and struck one with its right mirror causing damage to the camper.
According to police, the operator fled the scene south toward Anita and then turned around at Anita-Oliveburg Road, and then fled north toward Brookville.
