State Police Investigating Indecent Assault at Jefferson County Jail

investigationPINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating an incident of indecent assault that occurred last week at the Jefferson County Jail located on Service Center Road, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the incident that occurred around 12:14 a.m. on March 30, involved two inmates. The victim – a known, 37-year-old Clarington male – was subjected to unwanted physical contact by a known, 26-year-old Coalport male.

Police say the incident remains open pending further investigation.
