State Police Release Details of Teen Seriously Injured in Pike Township Crash

PIKE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clearfield-based State Police released the details of a teen seriously injured in a crash that occurred in Pike Township earlier this month.

State police say the crash occurred around 4:48 p.m. on May 7 when a 1999 Subaru Forester was traveling north on Evans Road, near Hogback Road, in Pike Township, Clearfield County.

While negotiating a right-hand turn on the roadway, the vehicle slid off the left side of the road and struck multiple trees before coming to a final rest.

The driver – a 17-year-old female from Hyde, Pa. – suffered suspected serious injuries. She was life-flighted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Rescue Hose and Ladder Ambulance Service.

She was using a seat belt.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene by Cummings Towing.
