State Police Release Details on Bell Township Crash


BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State police say a one-vehicle crash occurred last Saturday night in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:28 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 55-year-old Raymond L. George, of Punxsutawney, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck north on Cloe-Rossiter Road near the Smyerstown Road intersection.

Police say George was affected by his physical condition and turned his vehicle prematurely. The pickup left the roadway hitting a guide rail.

George refused medical treatment from Punxsutawney EMS, according to police.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Southside Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.

Rossiter Fire Department assisted with traffic control.
