State Police Release Information on Identity Theft in Young Township

alertYOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an incident of identity theft occurred on Cunningham Road, in Young Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, on April 16, 2016, an unknown perpetrator opened a Fingerhut account in a known, 55-year-old Punxsutawney woman’s name and subsequently purchased a computer and a cell phone.

The investigation continues.

No other details were provided.
