State Police Seeking Information on Ten-Year-Old Forgery Case


PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating a case of identity theft that occurred nearly a decade ago.

According to a press release issued on Friday, June 16, 2017, sometime between August 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007, a known, 38-year-old Bell Township woman took the identity of a known, 38-year-old Curwensville man and forged his signature at 40 East Park Drive, Punxsutawney.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call PSP Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.

The name of the suspect was not released.
