Steelers, City of DuBois Raise Money for Area United Way Chapter with Hoops Game Saturday

DuBOIS, Pa. (EYT) – The Pittsburgh Steelers and the City of DuBois came together Saturday night at DuBois Middle School to help raise money for the area United Way chapter.

“Last year, we raised more than $10,000 with the basketball games and we hope to do the same or better,” said DuBois Area United Way Executive Director Herm Suplizio. Suplizio is in his 22nd year at the helm of the chapter.

The Steelers basketball team played a team of United Way members who work with area businesses.

The Steelers signed autographs during the halftime of their game.

The Steelers players included Louie Lipps, Brian Hinckle, Robin Cole, Edmund Nelson, Marv Vellum and Mortty Ivy.
