Stella Louise Baker, 75, of Smicksburg, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at home.
She was born September 12, 1939 in Indiana County, a daughter of Horace and Estell (Simpson) Lowman.
On May 19, 1956 she married William “Bill” Ralph Baker. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2011.
Mrs. Baker had previously worked at Season All and Gaston’s Motel.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren, as they were her world. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She had previously enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting and canning.
Surviving relatives include four children, Ricky J. Baker of Smicksburg, Debbie Macko and husband Bob of Punxsutawney, Patricia J. (Baker) Didriksen and husband Glenn of Triadelphia, WV, William B. Baker and wife Branda of Smicksburg; four grandchildren, Chad Vincent Ryen, Amanda Nicole Baker, Michelle Rose Baker, William Travis Baker; three great grandchildren, Alexander, Mikeayla and Roxanne Ryen; one brother, Alex Lowman and wife Christina of Clymer, two sisters, Edna Boring and husband Dewayne of Cherry Tree, Charlotte Blystone of Dixonville.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Michael Allen Ryen, and three brothers, Horace, Dennis and Dwight Lowman.
In accordance to Stella’s wishes all arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
