Stephen G. Betta, age 79, of Bristol, CT, died March 13, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center of Hartford, CT.
A son of the late Joseph and Betty (McFadden) Betta, he was born on June 22, 1941, in Clearfield, PA. On June 6, 1964, he married Kathryn (Chileski), who survives at home.
Along with his wife, Steve is survived by two children, Melissa wife of (Scott) Driscoll of Bristol, CT, and Lynn Betta fiancée of Arthur Muench of Preston, CT; and two grandchildren, McKenna and Ailey Driscoll.
Steve was a graduate of Bennetts Valley Schools and the DuBois Business College. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era and worked as a Sales Engineer for the New England Territory with Pure Carbon and Morgan Industries for many years, retiring in 2006. He was raised in Bennetts Valley and lived the past forty two years in Connecticut. He enjoyed spending time with family and long conversations with friends and was a member of St. Francis de Sales church.
There will be no public visitation.
The family will be receiving friends from 10 – 11 a.m., Friday, April 23rd at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 23rd at the Church with Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 (Tunnels2Towers.org).
The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield (www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com) has been entrusted with final arrangements.
