SUMMERVILLE, Pa. – Summerville Bridge (State Route 3007) will close to traffic Monday, August 18, between Route 28 and Broad Street as part of a bridge replacement project, according to PennDot. The bridge is expected to re-open Saturday, Aug. 23.
A posted detour will be in place via Roller Coaster Road to Mount Pleasant Road to Route 28. The bridge will remain open to local traffic.
The bridge will be replaced with a two-lane structure and a realignment of the southbound approach.
PennDOT reminds motorists to slow down, be alert for changing conditions, and drive responsibly in the work zone. Minimize distractions and obey flaggers for your safety and the safety of the workers. Congestion and delays are possible.
This $3,771,853 bridge replacement project is being constructed by Plum Contracting, Inc. The project is expected to be completed the end of October 2014.
