Summerville Man Escapes Injury in One-Vehicle Crash

CLOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 4:00 p.m. on July 16, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Sheep Farm Road (Route 3037), 1/4 mile from Mount Pleasant Road, in Clover Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 57-year-old Keith D. Hillborn, of Summerville, was involved in the collision.

Police say Hillborn was traveling south on Sheep Farm Road around a left curve in the roadway when he appears to have suffered from some type of medical issue which caused him to black out.

His 2004 Lexus GX470 traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a PennDOT speed limit sign. The vehicle continued off the roadway, striking utility pole guide wires and over two ditches before coming to rest against an embankment approximately 600 feet from the point that his vehicle left the roadway.

Hillborn was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was transported to Brookville Hospital by a private vehicle for an evaluation of the medical issue which led to the crash.

His vehicle was towed from the scene.
