Summerville Man Loses Control of Vehicle on Icy Roads, Crashes into Tree

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police say around 9:00 p.m. on December 12, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Olean Trail (Township Road 555), 984 feet south of Douglas Road, in Limestone Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 47-year-old Curt W. Klawuhn, of Summerville, was traveling northbound on Olean Trail and lost control of his 2003 Ford F150 pickup on the ice covered roadway.

His vehicle slid to the left across the center line and off the west berm of the roadway. Its front impacted a tree 21 feet west of the road, police say.

The pickup came to a rest 45 feet north of the tree facing east along the west berm of the road.

Klawuhn suffered moderate injuries; he was using a seat belt.
