Pistol Stolen from Summerville Man

SUMMERVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating the theft of a pistol from a Summerville, Jefferson County, residence.

Police say the incident occurred when an unknown actor broke the lock to the victim’s gun safe and stole a Taurus 357 pistol.

Investigators believe the incident happened on August 1.

The victim is listed as a 58-year-old Summerville man.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
