Susan W. (Finefrock) Reichard, age 71, of Warsaw Twp., passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving husband on Sunday December 11, 2016, as a resident of the McKinley Health Center in Brookville PA.
Susan was born on June 11, 1945, in Knox PA, to the late George and Twila (Whitmer) Finefrock.
She attended and graduated from the Keystone High School in Knox with the class of 1963. On January 24, 1965, she married Russell A. Reichard Sr., in Brookville, PA.
It has been almost 52 years since their commitment to each other began, and their love continually blossomed as the years went on; Russell survives and misses her dearly.
Shortly after their wedding she began working for Newbie Garment in New Bethlehem PA, and eventually she secured a position with the Brookville Area Schools as a custodian.
She worked for the school district until she retired in 2006. Susan and Russell attended the Brookville Calvary Church of the Nazarene, she loved the Lord and she adored her pastor.
She loved being outdoors and enjoyed many activities which it provides including gardening and hunting. She would grow food that at the end of each season she canned for her families future use. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her, she looked forward to being with them as much as she could. As her life moved forward she needed to lean on her husband for increasingly more things, but she loved being by his side wherever they went.
Susan enjoyed the little things, the big things, and everything in between. She lives on in all the happy memories that she helped create with her family throughout her life.
In addition to her husband Russell, Susan is survived by 2 sons; Russell A. (Kimberly) Reichard Jr., Vernon (Rebecca) Reichard; 1 daughter; Kimberly Withey; 2 sisters; Audrey Schones, Georgie (Rick) Marrow; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Jack Finefrock and Tom Finefrock.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Brookville Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 110 Evans St., Brookville PA, 15825, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by Pastor Ron Biddle.
Interment will take place at the Ohl Cemetery, Beaver Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
