Suspect Accused of Providing False Information to Police

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police say charges are pending against an individual who allegedly provided false information to police during an investigation late last year.

Around 5:17 p.m. on November 24, 2019, Brookville Borough Police were investigating a domestic/child custody incident on Madison Avenue and were allegedly provided false information regarding the identity of one of the individuals involved.

Police say during the investigation, it was discovered the identity was falsified due to the individual having an active warrant for their arrest.

According to police, charges of false swearing and hindering apprehension by providing false information are pending through District Court 54-3-03.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
