SUV Slams into House in Big Run Borough in Suspected DUI Crash

BIG RUN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police have released the details of a suspected DUI crash where an SUV struck a house in Big Run Borough last week.

According to police, around 1:30 p.m. on September 8, a one-vehicle crash occurred on West Main Street/State Route 119 just west of Smyers Street in Big Run Borough.

Police say 57-year-old Elizabeth A. Moomau, of Big Run, was operating a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada traveling on Main Street/State Route 119 when she lost control for unknown reasons, went off the left side of the road, and struck a house.

Moomau was wearing a seatbelt and no injures were reported.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by South Side Towing.

Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company also assisted at the scene.

Police say during the crash investigation, Moomau appeared to be impaired and was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
