Teen Driver Escapes Injury in Head-on Collision with Utility Pole

Police car lightsUNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Police responded to a one-vehicle accident in Union Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, a 17-year-old female, of Falls Creek, was driving a 2005 Nissan Murano south on Bottom Road around 3:46 p.m. January 13.

Police say that the driver lost control when the vehicle hit an icy patch on a curve in the roadway.

The vehicle left the west side of the roadway and impacted a utility pole head-on.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle had to be towed away from the scene.
