Teen Driver, Passenger Escape Injuries in Rollover Crash in Clover Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225CLOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 1:11 p.m. on November 28, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 949 (Summerville-Corsica Road), South of Love Road, in Clover Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a 17-year-old Summerville male was traveling south on SR 949, just south of Love Road. While negotiating a left curve in the roadway, the teen lost control of his 1997 Saturn SC1.

The car then traveled off the west shoulder of the roadway, up an embankment, overturned, and came to a rest on its roof across the roadway facing east.

The teen driver and a passenger, 18-year-old Samantha C. Neeman, of Brookville, were using seat belts and were not injured.

The 17-year-old driver was charged with a traffic violation.

The car was towed from the scene by Leadbetter’s Towing.

Summervile Fire Company and Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.
