Teen Flown to Pittsburgh Hospital Following Motorcycle Crash on Route 28

CLOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – A 16-year-old male was flown to Allegheny General Hospital following a motorcycle crash on State Route 28, in Clover Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a 16-year-old male from Worthington, Pa., was negotiating a left hand turn on a 2001 Harley-Davidson Sportser 1200 and, for unknown reasons, traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway and collided with a road sign.

He subsequently lost control of the motorcycle before colliding with an embankment which caused the motorcycle to overturn.

The teen was using a motorcycle helmet and suffered moderate injuries.

He was transported to Brookville Hospital before being flown to Allegheny General Hospital.

Jefferson County EMS, Summerville Volunteer Fire Department personnel, and Leadbetter Towing assisted at the scene.
