Ridgway Teen Injured in Route 948 Rollover

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225HOWE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say around 9:00 p.m. on September 19, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 948, in Howe Township, Forest County.

According to police, 18-year-old Joseph B. Manno, of Ridgway, was traveling east on SR 948 and lost control of his 2003 GMC Sierra on the wet roadway.

The vehicle began to fishtail and spun 180 degrees crossing the westbound lane, impacting the embankment on the north side of the road, police say.

The vehicle then rolled onto its driver’s side as it returned to the roadway, coming to a rest facing north, according to police.

Manno suffered minor injuries. He was not using a seat belt, police say.

He was charged with a traffic violation, according to police.

Sheffield VFD and Sheffield VFD Ambulance assisted at the scene.
