Theresa V. Garzoni, 91, formerly of 119 Garzoni Road, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born May 29, 1923, in Anita, a daughter of the late Theodore and Angelina Pellegrino Maruca.
On Nov. 22, 1947, she married Richard A. Garzoni, who preceded her in death Sept. 29, 2012.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anita.
She was formerly employed by Maruca’s Grocery Store, the Jefferson County Courthouse and Rolo Jensen.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Vickie Urchuck and husband, Ron, of Falls Creek; a son, Richard “Dick” Garzoni and wife, Mona, of Anita; two grandchildren, Shawn Garzoni and Emily Urchuck; two great-grandsons, Skylar and Gavyn Garzoni; and a sister, Eva Brown.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Caesar T. Maruca and Thomas Maruca, and two sisters, Catherine Lackey and Janie Anderson.
As per the request of the family, visitation will be private.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Anita with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be in Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations, in memory of Mrs. Garzoni’s memory, may be made to the DuBois Area Catholic School or to the SSCD School.
