Thomas AndersonThomas J. Anderson age 79 of Pershing Avenue Brockway, PA died on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Brockway on November 22, 1937 he was the son of the late Glenn and Vera Armanini Anderson.

On June 23, 1962 he was married to Loretta “Lori” Meholick and she survives.

Retired, Tom had worked in Hot End Upkeep at Brockway Glass for 43 years.

He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway where he served as an Usher and as an Altar Server at Funeral Masses.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering around at his camp.

He also was an avid Pirate and Steeler fan, and liked to watch college wrestling on TV. Tom enjoyed high school basketball and wrestling and didn’t miss attending many games or matches in Brockway.

He also served as the girls Tennis Coach at Brockway for many years.

In addition to his wife Lori he is also survived by 2 daughters: Lynn (Mike) Carpenter of Mechanicsburg, PA; Wendy (Adam) McKinley of Brockway; 2 sons: Michael (Tammy) Anderson of Hillsborough, NJ and Larry Anderson of Charleston, SC.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, with an additional 2 great grandchildren on the way.

He was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Anderson who died on January 6, 2017.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, February 14 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 15 at 9:30 AM at St. Tobias Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held at 8:45 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
