Thomas Ray Herren

Thomas Ray Herren, 57, Reynoldsville, died at home Wednesday, November 26, 2014.

Born November 17, 1957, in Pocahontas, Ark., he was a son of the late Guy Clifford and Anna Lee Braggs Herren.

On July 22, 1995, he married the former Trudy Lyn Smith. She survives and resides in Reynoldsville.

Thomas was a self-employed truck driver for 38 years.

He was a great provider for his family and was a beautiful father to his girls.

Thomas is survived by four children: Thomas R. Herren Jr., of Dixon, Ill., Daniel Herren of Rockford, Ill., Allyssa Herren and Amber Herren, both of Reynoldsville; five grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford Herren of Mo., and James Herren of Carthage, Tenn.; five sisters: Mildred LeConte of Mo., Helen Gummo of Lebanon, Tenn., Dortha Mae Seago of Rockford, Ill.,Dorothy Fae Eberly of Rockford, Ill., and Linda Herren Garner of Wis.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Herren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ken Eddy.
