Three $1 Million Powerball Tickets Sold in Pennsylvania

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® players did not come away empty-handed in the world-record jackpot drawing on Wednesday, January 13, with over 1.1 million winners of more than $11 million in prizes – including three $1 million winners.

Jackpot-winning tickets sold in California, Tennessee and Florida matched the five white balls drawn, 04-08-19-27-34, and the red Powerball, 10.  Each of those tickets won a share of a jackpot with a final annuity value of $1,586,400,000 or a cash value of $983,500,000.

“The historic Powerball jackpot run was not only exciting for players and winners, but also generated tremendous new support – more than $70 million – for the programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians, every day,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “I want to congratulate our state’s many winners and also thank our players and retailers.”

In Pennsylvania, there were three $1 million winners; six winners of $100,000; 25 winners of $50,000; and more than one million other winners of various prize amounts in the January 13 Powerball drawing. Visit for details on payouts at all prize levels.

The three $1 million tickets matched five of the white balls drawn and were sold by the following retailers:

  • Landhope Farms 101 E. Street Road, Kennett Square, Chester County;
  • Turkey Hill, 5 W. Clay St., Lancaster, Lancaster County; and
  • Top Star Express, 216 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem, Lehigh County.

The six $100,000 winning tickets matched four of the five white balls drawn plus the Powerball with the player choosing Power Play and were sold by the following retailers:

  • Giant Eagle, Quaker Village Shopping Center, Leetsdale, Allegheny County;
  • Terris Auto Tags, 822 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, Delaware County;

In the January 13 drawing, a total of 1,187,351 Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts, including 205,054 tickets purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied their prizes by two.

The Powerball jackpot had been rolling since the November 4, 2015, drawing. In the 20 drawings held since, in Pennsylvania alone, Powerball produced a total of nearly 3.3 million winners of $33,237,331 million in prizes, including one $2 million winner and six winners of $1 million.

Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time. In Pennsylvania, winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Winners cannot be identified until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, January 16, reset to a $40 million annuity value or a $24.8 million cash prize.
