Three Deer Cause One-Vehicle Crash in Washington Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225 WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, a Franklin man escaped injury in a crash involving three deer that occurred June 4 on Airport Road, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the crash occurred around 5:40 a.m. as Travis J. Barker, 29, of Franklin, was traveling east on Airport Road.

Barker struck three deer that ran out in front of his 2009 Buick Enclave from the north berm of the roadway.

His vehicle became disabled and came to a rest in the right lane of travel.

Barker was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.
