DuBois-based State Police say the accident happened around 8:20 p.m. when 27-year-old Ashley R. Vega, of Punxsutawney, lost control over her vehicle while attempting to negotiate a left turn on Oklahoma Salem Road.

Vega’s 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier slide off the roadway and overturned “end-over-end” before coming to a rest on its roof.

A third passenger in Vega’s vehicle, 34-year-old Shawn M. Wolfe, of Punxsutawney, suffered minor injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing safety belts, according to police.
