Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 28, Rose Township

ROSE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:02 a.m. on March 16, a three-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 28, west of Walk Way, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 18-year-old Damon A. Hepburn, of Brookville, 60-year-old Laframboise Yves, of Laval, QC, and 65-year-old William C. Emanuelson, of Chicora, were involved in the collision.

According to police, Hepburn was traveling south on SR 28 in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and left the southbound lane of travel and crossed over the northbound lanes, striking a 2013 Freightliner Casca driven by Yves.

Emanuelson saw the Freightliner’s brake lights and attempted to apply his brakes and slid uphill on the snow-covered roads in his 2008 Dodge Durango, striking the vehicle.

All drivers and a passenger in Emanuelson’s vehicle, 69-year-old Anna E. Emanuelson, of Chicora, were using seat belts and were not injured.
