Timothy Doyle Schreckengost

Timothy Doyle Schreckengost, 52, of Valier, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born in Kittanning on January 3, 1969, a son of the late Fred Doyle Schreckengost and Naomi Jane (Condron) Schreckengost.

On October 25, 2002, he married Sheila J. Wolfe. She survives and resides in Valier.

Mr. Schreckengost was a self-employed truck driver.

He was a volunteer fireman for Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the Perry Township Sportsman Club.

He enjoyed riding his side by side, previously liked to race cars on the dirt track, and liked hunting and fishing. He later discovered going to the beach, not for the sun and sand, but for the awesome fishing off the piers.

His first stop in the Outer Banks was to Frank and Fran’s Bait Store each year.

He loved his family and grandchildren; he was a jokester and always “picked” on those around him.

In addition to his wife Sheila, he is survived by five children, Trista Ott of St Marys, Chasity Welsh and husband Nathaniel of Hamilton, Timothy Doyle Schreckengost, Jr. and wife Kayla of Rockton, Peter James McKenrick of Lilly, and Clark Joseph McKenrick and wife Amanda of Coolspring; grandchildren, Tyra Miller, Zada McKenrick, Slate McKenrick, Keegan Fetterman, Desiree Stevenson, Aimee McKenrick, Joey McKenrick, Nevaeh Ott, Caralyn Ott, Owen Schreckengost, and Violet Schreckengost; one great granddaughter, Deliah Stevenson; two sisters, Pam Stevenson of Johnstown, and Debby Whitehouse and husband Kirk of Punxsutawney; two brothers, Aaron Schreckengost and wife Becky of Hastings, Nebraska; and Jesse Kerner of Johnstown.

There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held next weekend, date and time to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

Memorial donations may be made in Tim’s memory to Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company.
