Wolf, 65, took his oath of office at noon from Judge Penny Blackwell before a large crowd gathered for the ceremony outside the Capitol.
The former businessman is calling for bipartisanship in a divided state government and has said his goals include creating good schools, good-paying jobs, and a government that works.
“If we come together with a sense of shared purpose, we can build the better future Pennsylvania deserves. Now, let’s get started,” said Wolf.
Wolf won nearly 55 percent of the vote in the November 4 election, denying Corbett a second term.
He was the only Democrat nationally to unseat a sitting Republican governor in the election.
