‘Tour De Clarion’ Monthly Hike Scheduled to Begin on January 23

PARKER, Pa. (EYT) – The “Tour De Clarion” monthly hike is set to begin in Parker on January 23 at 10:00 a.m.

The Clarion County section of the North Country Trails is challenging everyone to step outdoors each month to hike a different section of the 93 miles of the trail located in Clarion County. They are starting at mile marker one in Parker on January 23 and continuing North each month ending the year at mile marker 93 near Vowinckel.

Each monthly section will be organized and shuttle service will be provided by the Clarion County Chapter.

Any hiker completing the entire challenge will receive a long-sleeved shirt noting their accomplishment.

Hike Schedule:

January 23 – 10 a.m. – Parker – Emlenton. Meet at Parker Trail Head. 6 miles.

February 13 – 10 a.m. – Emlenton – Rockland Tunnel. Meet at Emlenton Trail Head. 7 miles.

March 12 – 10 a.m. – Rockland Tunnel – Kennerdell. Meet at Rockland Tunnel. 7 miles.

April 16 – 10 a.m. – Kennerdell Tunnel – Belmar Bridge. Meet at Kennerdell. 9 miles

May 14 – 10 a.m. – Belmar Bridge – Van. Meet at Belmar Bridge. 8 miles.

June 4 – 10 a.m. – Van – Fern Road. Meet at Shippenville Country Fair. 8 miles.

July 23 – 10 a.m. – Fern Road – Deer Creek. Meet at Shippenville Country Fair. 9 miles.

August 13 – 10 a.m. – Deer Creek – Kiser Wagner. Meet at Shippenville Country Fair. 8 miles.

September 17 – 10 a.m. – Kiser Wagner – Highland. Meet at Shippenville Country Fair. 11 miles.

October 9 – 10 a.m. – Highland Drive – Gravel Lick. Meet at Highland Drive. 6 miles.

November 13 – 10 a.m. – Gravel Lick – Environmental Center. Meet at Environmental Center. 6 miles.

December 4 – 10 a.m. – Environmental Center – Route 66. Meet at Route 66 Trail Head. 8 miles.
