Tractor-Trailer Overturns After Along I-80 in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a tractor-trailer overturned after going off of Interstate 80 eastbound on Tuesday.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the crash took place around 5:07 a.m. on January 25 on Interstate 80 eastbound near mile marker 93, Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say Shahar Nasir, of Woodhaven, New York, was operating a tractor-trailer when he failed to negotiate a left curve and traveled off the side of the roadway, striking multiple guide rails.

Following the initial impact, the tractor-trailer then rolled onto its passenger side and came to a final rest facing north just off the right side of the roadway.

Falls Creek Fire Department, DuSan Ambulance, and Bloom Towing assisted at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
