Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Brookville

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A traffic stop in the Borough of Brookville led to a drug arrest early Friday morning.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 12:16 a.m. on Friday, November 20, troopers conducted a vehicle stop on a 2006 GMC Envoy on Main Street in the Borough of Brookville, Jefferson County, after observing a traffic violation.

Troopers contacted the known male driver, a 33-year-old Altoona man, and later determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of suspected controlled substances.

Two juvenile passengers – a 4-year-old male, and a 13-year-old male, of Altoona – were observed in the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the driver was not released.
