Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Sandy Township

State PoliceSANDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a drug arrest occurred on Stanley Road, in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, a traffic stop was made, and a known 33-year-old Luthersburg man was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

He was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, police say.

The driver was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say the passenger – a 46-year-old DuBois woman – was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Charges are pending lab analysis.

The names of the suspects were not released.
