Traffic Stop Leads to DUI Arrest in Brookville

Police car lightsBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police say a Brookville man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop in Brookville, Jefferson County.

According to police, a vehicle operated by a 41-year-old Brookville man was stopped around 11:21 p.m. on May 22 at the intersection of Pickering and Mabon Streets because his vehicle had a brake light that was not working.

When officers made contact with the driver, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Subsequent testing led to his arrest for driving under the influence.

The driver was then taken to Brookville Hospital for a blood draw for chemical testing purposes. His blood was analyzed by Erie Crime Lab.

Results from testing revealed that the driver’s Blood Alcohol Concentration 0.14% at the time of the incident – the legal limit in in Pa. is 0.08%.

The driver was charged with DUI and General Lighting Requirements.

The name of the driver was not released.
