Trailer Jackknifes on Snow Covered I-80, Driver Escapes Injury

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PINE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police say at 7:52 p.m. on December 10, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 80, in Pine Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, Nith Sok, 47 of Wellford, SC, was traveling east on Interstate 80 in the right-hand lane in a 2008 Volvo with a trailer in tow.

The trailer began sliding on the snow covered roadway, causing it to jackknife, then sliding onto the south berm striking the 109.2 mile marker sign.

The driver was wearing a seat belt was not injured.

Assisting the State Police at the scene were Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Bricens Towing, and PennDOT.
