Trick-or-Treaters Enjoy Brookville Halloween Parade

brookville-halloween-paradeBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Perfect fall weather greeted hundreds of princesses, ghosts and goblins as Brookville held its annual Halloween Parade Monday evening.

Everyone was welcome as revelers from those not old enough to walk to much older “kids” enjoyed the march to the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company.

Members of the Brookville Area High School band performed in the parade that was led by the Borough Police and Fire Company.

Members of BVFC Auxiliary handed out flashlights, cookies, treats and refreshments before the trick-or-treaters went out to see what types of goodies awaited.

BVFC Chief Steve Hoak said the parade has been held as long as he could remember.

“I marched in it when I was little. It’s always been a nice tradition and something fun for the kids and their families,” Hoak said.

Members also conducted safety patrols while everyone trick-or-treated to make sure everyone was safe.
