1812d1140135579-stat-medevac-stat1[1]GASKILL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 10:50 p.m. on July 6, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, south of Mill Road, in Gaskill Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 22-year-old John D. Bouch, of Mahaffey, was involved in a suspected DUI crash.

Police say Bouch was traveling in a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck north on Route 36 and failed to negotiate a slight left curve in the roadway. The truck traveled off the east side of the road and impacted with a drainage culvert. Then, the truck began to yaw and traveled off the west side of the roadway and impacted a ditch prior to impacting a commercial building with its right side. The truck then spun in a clockwise direction and came to a final rest in the middle of the building facing north.

Bouch suffered moderate injuries and was flown to UPMC Altoona Hospital.

He was not using a properly secured seat belt.

Police say he is currently listed in stable condition at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Jefferson County EMS and Big Run Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Rebuck’s South Side Towing.

The investigation continues pending the results of UPMC Hospital’s medical records, according to police.
