Truck Crashes into Utility Pole off Route 322; Driver Escapes Injury

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, north of Alaska Road, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 34-year-old Eric S. McNeal, of Altoona, was traveling north on Route 36 in a 2012 Freightliner commercial truck and failed to negotiate a curve to the left.

The vehicle traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a electric pole and a ditch, according to police.

McNeal was using a seat belt and did not suffer any injuries.

The vehicle was disabled as a result of the crash and was towed by Bricen Towing.

Pine Creek Fire Department and Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.

McNeal was charged with a traffic violation.
