Truck Hits Bridge Barrier on I-80 in Brookville

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police have released the details of a crash that occurred earlier this week when a truck struck a bridge barrier on Interstate 80 in Brookville.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident around 9:20 p.m. on Monday, August 23, on Interstate 80 eastbound near the 79.7 mile-marker, in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say 40-year-old Nathan D. Jennings, of Golden Valley, Arizona, was operating a 2019 Volvo T960 truck traveling east on Interstate 80 when he struck the bridge barrier along the south berm and came to rest on the bridge in the right lane of travel.

Jennings and his passenger, identified as 31-year-old Ciara A. Lopez, of Golden Valley, Arizona, were both using seat belts and were not injured.

Brookville Fire Department and Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.
