Tuesday’s Boys’ Basketball Roundup: Puhala Helps Brockway to DuBois To. Title

DUBOIS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Zane Puhala scored a career-high 19 points, including 15 after halftime, as Brockway avenged a loss to DuBois earlier in the season with a 67-46 win over the Beavers in the championship game of the DuBois Holiday Tournament.

Brockway led by nine, 44-35, going to the fourth quarter before outscoring the Beavers 23-11 in the fourth quarter behind eight points from Puhala.

Carter Adams added 14 points for the Rovers with Jarrett Esposito chipping in 11 and Andrew Trunzo nine.

Nick LaBrasca had a double-double for DuBois with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Bryce Bright also scored 13 points and Kenny Garvey 11.

BROOKVILLE 62, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 55

DUBOIS, Pa. – A strong second half helped Brookville to a 62-55 come-from-behind victory over DuBois Central Catholic in the consolation game of the DuBois Holiday Tournament.

The Raiders trailed by two, 24-22, at halftime but outscored the Cardinals 40-31 in the second half including 26-21 in the third quarter.

Colton Singleton led Brookville with 14 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, while Trenton Gilhousen scored eight of his 12 points in the third quarter. Aaron Park and Jimmy Moore each added eight tallies with Ben Reitz scoring all six of his points in the decisive third quarter.

Brandon Walker paced DCC with 14 points. Austen Cogley added 11, Justin Miknis 10 and Noah Pettenati nine.
