Two-Car Crash on Route 119, Henderson Township

HENDERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 5:23 p.m. on April 15, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 119, at its intersection with Blose Hill Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 18-year-old Rebecca R. John, of Transfer, and 28-year-old Adam E. Cryster, of DuBois, were involved in the collision.

According to police, John was traveling south on SR 119 following a car driven by Cryster. Cryster stopped for a turning vehicle, and John was unable to stop her car, striking the rear of Cryster’s car.

John’s car came to rest in the southbound lane of travel, facing south.

Cryster’s car came to a final rest on Blose Hill Road, facing west.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

John was charged with a traffic violation.

Sykesville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
