Two Charged in Alleged Two-Day Domestic Assault

Police car lightsCANOE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say between January 10 and January 12, an incident occurred that resulted in two people being charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment at a residence on 2nd Street, Rossiter, Canoe Township, Indiana County.

Police say this crime occurred over the course of two days when 32-year-old Kevin Patrick Obrien and 33-year-old Jean Helen Dickson allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical.

According to police, both had visible injuries and were allegedly in violation of Pennsylvania Domestic Violence Laws.

Obrien and Dickson were taken in custody and subsequently arraigned by Magistrate George M. Thachik in Clymer.

Bail was set at $10,000.00 unsecured each.

Investigation continues pending preliminary hearing scheduled for February 3.
