Two Escape Injury in Car vs. Deer Crash in Rose Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225ROSE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one vehicle accident on Interstate 80, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this crash occurred at 7:35 p.m. on August 7,2015 as 67-year-old Leslie E Reed Jr., of Strattanville, was travelling westbound on Interstate 80 near mile marker 77.

According to police, a deer entered the roadway directly into the path of Reed’s 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.

Reed struck the deer and brought the vehicle to a controlled stop along the right berm.

Reed and his passenger 56-year-old Lori Reed, also of Strattanville, were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Leadbetter Towing assisted police at the scene.
